&& been having soo much Fun When the Reason i came here was to work..For Some reason they Gave me a Few days off after traditions Day.. But Now i have OFFICIALLY STARTED WORK... 
DisneyWorld has 7 delux Resorts where Guests chose to stay at. I have the priveledge of working at the POLYNESIAN RESORT.

 The name says it all. As soon as you enter the place you are in a completely different world.  It is a four diamond hotel! beautiful place to stayt They have sepererated it into different Longhouses (buildings and rooms) which are all named after one polynesian countrys.. I am working in Food and Beverage. In one of the Quick service Cafes called the CAPTAIN COOKS.  We are a Quick food location open 24hours and sell a range of pastries, burgers, salads, pizzas, fresh fruit, and ice cream treats. 

My Job is Cashier and Counter. How this Little Place works is Food is ordered on touch screen machines by the Guests and the order goes straight to the kitchen. They can then come to me to pay for the order and i give them a Buzzer. By the time the transaction is over their buzzer should ring and their food should be ready for pick up at the COUNTER. (thats why they call it QUICK Food). They then have the Option to Dine in or take away their food.



One of our famous items on the menu. THE PINEAPPLE DOLE WHIP. This is possibly the best icecream you can taste. (Literally) Peopl travel from all over the world Just to taste this icecream. it can only be found at Captain Cook's and Magic Kingdom.

MY BEAUTIFUL UNIFORM (not Really) But it looks really good at the 

resort. It really enhances the Theme. Talking about theme while working we all have to Great customers by Saying AHOLA.... Aloha does not just mean hello..

It means Hello and goodbye. It also means Love and can express sympathy, regret or compassion. 

MAHALO: Means Thank you 

OHANA: Means Family. 

We try to familiarise our guests with these words, Especially OHANA because we try to treat them as family and welcome them into our beautiful resort.

BEFOR I ramble On :) This is My Job so far. Working 5dayz a week 8.5 Hours and tuesday wednesday is my holiday.. But i love My Job :)

ORIENTATION DAY :) 

Today  i got officially Welcomes into the Disney Company :) ... We got all dressed up in business attire and learnt about the history of Disney World. I am now an Official Cast Member at DisneyWorld :).. I am part Responsible for MAKING THE MAGIC HAPPEN

Today was the Day!.. Moved into our NEw Apartment!!...
WE were soo happy that we got the SAME APARTMENT && SAME ROOM
Besides the fact that we were soo excited we couldnt sleep the whole night we were
still WIDE awake.. mixture of jetlag and Excitement!.. Bt anyway the Place is Awesome
is like SOmething you would see on TV... WE stay in a 2 bedroomed apartment... Wth 2 people per room.

Tiffany And i`s Room...  is quite spacious.. we have our own bathroom and and little make up area. .. WE are pretty happy with the setting. 

Our apartment MAtes are from australia!! which is not very interesting considering we came on a cultural program and want to meet new people but then get  put in a share accommodation with AUSTRALIANS!. 

 OTHER than that they are quite Nice :) ...

It took us about 2 hours to get our room this pretty.. then we went to WAL -MART and spent about 4 Hours getting Groceries and Bathroom and kitchen stuff and times like that wish mama was there to pic out the best types of laundry detergents and such haha!.. #allGrownUp.

The Experience has been great tho!.. its been a good few dayz! Settling in! now cant wait till tmrw! for ORIENTATION and finding out where i will officially be working :) ... CANT WAIT

FINALLY ARRIVED!! :) .. It was A long Trip! And very Tiring Trip bt we made iit! 21Hours LAter??

 TWINZ *bynature* .. Had jus arrived iin L.A.. Feeling Very Tired and Frustrated and was not looking forward to another 6hour trip!.. WE myt look HAppy But Trust! We were EXHAUSTED!!...&& HUNGRY!.. the Foood was NOT PLEASANT! At all! i did not ENjoy it.. Couldnt eat it...

 BreakFast Was Probably the Worst Of iit All!...

But Other than Thaat the Flight was Gud Great! travelled Safe.. and it dsnt really Feel Like Im Here YEt but i think it will Hit me VERY SOON!... =)

Cant Wait to Start the DISNEY EXPERIENCE :)

Firstly! Would Like to thank Everyone Who was there for wish me Farewell at my party! The Support from all my family and friends was [OVERWHELMING] && its nice to know that I have people back home wishing me the best. *sniffSNIFF* ( it was a very emotional Night).

It only Just hit me maybe a couple days ago that i am not Just packing for a holiday. BUT! for a WHOLE YEAR! && SINCE My lil One *Mufaro* was gladly taking my room i had to EMPTY EVRYTHING out! *literally* -- So much Junk-- && The Result:.......

Now that My bad is packed and  everything is sorted :) Im READY..... NOT... well *mixed emotions*

I still cant believe this is happening!!. It will hit me in L.A.

It all started 8Months ago.. it was last October when I first find out about the Disney International College Program. I received an email from the career department at my university. I was so excited to find out that the job opportunities are open to the Aussies and Kiwis!!! THIS WAS SO ME!..* i couldn`t Let go of this idea so ii...*RAN TO MUMMY*

Next Step was Information Session. I dragged my Best Friend Tiffany who happends to do the EXACT SAME COURSE as me to it. She wasn't too keen at the time but came with me neway && AT THE END of that session WE were both Over the Moon. During the presentation we watched few of short videos explaining all the key roles, accommodation, and the Disney benefits that we will receive. The presentation made us even more keen to be part of the Disney cast. So guess who were the First people in line at the *SIGN UP HERE * desk.

Very Same Day we got interviewed *together* (inseperable). && two weeks Later:

 I got another email from Ashleigh at STB. This time the email said:
 
Congratulations!!! You have been accepted to take part in the Walt Disney World International Program.

You have been offered the position of:

QUICK SERVICE FOOD AND BEVERAGE / OPERATIONS

Your program start date is: JULY 16TH 2011
Your program finish date is: JULY 6TH 2012

Called Mama Straight Away! then Dad then POSTED IT UP ON FACEBOOK *lol*

Next STEP: The Wait

No Word From Disney after the acceptance email. It was all such a Blur!! Didnt really sink in for us... Because it was still a while away, so actually forgot about it. It wasn't until April i received the welcome Pack:

• Information: Earning, Learning, Living, Overall
• Visa Information Forms 
• Disney Look book

Next Step: VISA APPLICATION: It was now time to apply for my J1-Student Exchange Visa =]. I was nervous! Going through all that! then not getting The visa? That would SUCK!. Went on to set the appointment: 

Appointment: 19 May 2011

Time: 10.30

Consulate: US CONSULATE Sydney

...... VISA APPROVED...

Next Step: Booking Flights 

Could NOT have done this without the Help of my DAD!!.. 

Flying V AUSTRALIA : Brisbane - Los Angeles

Departing time: 10.25 am  Arriving: 06.25 am (ON THE SAME DAY!) haha

TOTAL FLYING TIME: 14 hours

Flying DELTA AIRWAYS: Los Angeles - Orlando

Departing time: 10.10am   Arriving: 18.14p pm    

TOTAL FLYING TIME: 6 hours      

Pretty much everything is now sorted out, Medical insurance papers, Visa, Tickets Accommodation :).. its all DONE.. [&&] Now probably should Start Packing :).....

I would like to thank my Parents for all the support! YOU GUYS are AWESOME.. i cant do anything without u2..(and my lil bro too) ur awesome too lil one!...
